Very stylish in highly poished stainless steel the water extinguisher is still the most popular fire extinguisher around - water is a fast and efficient means of extinguishing class A type fires. It works by having a rapid cooling effect, so that insufficient heat remains to sustain burning and continuous ignition ceases. They should not be used on liquid fires including cooking oil and fats or on fires involving live electrical equipment.
The product cannot be BSI kitemarked because its not red however it performs exactly the same and would meet the BS EN3 requirements and is generally accepted.
Suitable for: Class A type fires involving combustible materials such as wood, paper and textiles. (NOT TO BE USED ON ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT)
